Bringing Hope to Baby Bethsaida!
This is the story of Mrs. Rose Guerline
Mrs. Rose Guerline grew up without knowing her father. Tragically, when her mother passed away, she was only 18 years old. One of her aunts brought her to Gressier, where she hoped to find a new beginning. However, her life took a dark turn when gangsters invaded her home in Gressier. In a harrowing ordeal, she was raped and subsequently became pregnant with her daughter, little Bethsaïda François, who was born on May 11, 2024. Currently, they reside in a displaced persons camp, living in a small tent.
During a recent visit to the camp by our Operations Manager, he discovered the sound of a crying baby. Upon closer inspection, he found that Baby Bethsaida was suffering from a swollen left ear. Concerned for their well-being, he accompanied Bethsaida and her mother to see a doctor.
Upon examination, it was determined that the child was suffering from an ear infection and would also need a small procedure. For now, Bethsaida is on medication, and she has an upcoming appointment at the clinic for the necessary procedure on her ear.
Thanks to the generous support of our partners, we were able to cover the costs associated with this urgent care. For less than $100, we provided a doctor visit, medication, food, transportation, and diapers for Bethsaida and her mother.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners for making this possible for baby Bethsaida. Your kindness and support are truly the light in their darkest times!
